Job Description:

· This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance and support of desktop computing platforms, as well as installing software not distributed via the network.

· In addition, this position provides support and guidance to end users.

· Using established guidelines and procedures, installs, upgrades, images, configures and maintains desktop hardware.

· Using established guidelines and procedures, installs, upgrades, and configures desktop applications and 'specialty' software, as requested and approved.

· Provides technical support and guidance to end users.

· Guides the user through diagnostic and resolution procedures, using clear and concise instructions.

· Resolves issues using good judgment, attention to detail and in a timely manner.

· Escalates problems when necessary and learns from their successful resolution for future issues.

Mandatory:

Education/Experience

· Associates Degree in a computer science-related field and 2 years desktop operating and networking systems.

· 4 years recent experience in desktop operating and networking systems

· Working knowledge of standard concepts, best practices and procedures related to set up/configuration of desktop hardware and current operating system.

· Working knowledge of desktop operating and networking systems.

· Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical.

· Manages time effectively while assuring attention to details.

· Finishes tasks accurately, completely and in a timely manner.

· Works effectively in a team environment.

· Makes sound decisions with general guidance.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 4x10

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Burlington, KS 66839: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Help desk: 4 years (Preferred)
• Windows: 4 years (Preferred)
