Hummingbird has a part or full time position for a LCPC or LCSW at either our Westmont or Woodridge Center. Our experienced and growing counseling team is seeking a pediatric therapist with at least 2 years of pediatric practice to fill a growth position. Our counselors and social workers are central to our core mission of helping children. You would be instrumental in collaborating with our pediatric team in designing social-emotional programs for our children by working collaboratively and closely with our speech, occupational, physical and developmental therapists and reading specialists. You would act as a liaison between the child's pediatric team and his/her family.

This dream therapist would have an obvious affection of children, wonderful communication skills and the positive energy and drive to collaborate with our experienced team of dedicated pediatric therapists. You would further be instrumental in working with parents of children with special needs. We help children from birth on up with a variety of diagnosis including ASD, CP, auditory processing, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Visual-Spatial, prematurity, failure to thrive, developmental delays and many others. We offer a number of evidenced-based practices including CBT, Sensory Integration, Interactive Metronome, Orthotic Intervention, Bracing, Hippotherapy, SOS Feeding, Social Thinking Curriculum, PROMPT Technique, Listening Therapy, Sensory Integration, DIR, DMI, NDT, PLAY Therapy. Our therapists LOVE thinking outside the box and have fun collaborating with each other using unique and fun modalities such as Wii, treadmill protocols etc. We enjoy electronic medical records and billing (which means no more staying late to do reports or taking them home!) and strong office support so that our therapists can concentrate on what they love doing…helping our kiddos and growing/developing our clinical skills!

We are a unique therapist owned, non-ABA, outpatient pediatric enrichment center that provides SP/Feeding/OT/PT/DT, reading specialists, along with incredible STEAM and language processing enrichment classes. Another integral and unique aspect to our center is our HUMMINGBIRD CHILDREN'S ACADEMY - a non-ABA, therapeutic preschool co-taught by Speech, OT, PT, DT, Counseling with STEAM based enrichment, reading support and various specials that focuses on the importance and development of a child's social-emotional growth and regulation skills.

Due to growth fueled by our exemplary referral based practice, we opened our second home in Woodridge in Dec 2021! Our Woodridge center boasts 11,000sf and has modern, industrial vibe that includes multiple sensory gyms with zip lines and mountain climbing walls, and private therapy rooms along with a team lounge that boasts a private kitchen, restroom and lounge area space!
