PEOPLE & CULTURE COORDINATOR
Based at Rocket Lab's headquarters in Long Beach, California the People & Culture Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to employees, assisting the P&C team with file maintenance, HRIS entries, and other HR activities. You will support the Director of People & Culture and the People & Culture team with deliverables required for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee new hire preparations and set-up, orientation, new hire paperwork collection, & I-9 tracking for all locations
- Process all pre-employment background screening
- Maintain record keeping and uploading documents into HRIS systems
- Compile data from personnel records and prepare reports
- Coordinate, review, & process required new hire paperwork
- Provide and complete employment verifications as necessary
- Process employee changes in the HRIS systems
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Associates Degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 2+ years related experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with little supervision required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and reorder workload in a dynamic environment
- Must have proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
