The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Personal Lines Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships and service our P&C clients.
This position will report to our agency located in Lake Success, NY. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of department, including workflow, employee performance, customer satisfaction, and carrier relationships. With support of the staff, negotiates with insurance companies on individual accounts.
- Cultivate and maintain carrier relationships at the management level, addressing issues of productions goals, compensation, underwriting philosophy, profitability, claims handling and product development.
- Oversee all customer relations and support services for the account. Work closely with producers to enhance new client development, as well as service, quality, and cross selling of existing clients.
- Review departmental mail daily; disseminate information on company positions and changes as needed.
- Assist marketing representative to determine degree of risk, underwriting and market selection. Provide technical supp rt and advise as needed.
- Provide guidance, assistance, and training to department staff, as necessary.
- Function as an active member of the department and always maintain high staff relationships. Communicate with other department members and other departments to provide continuity, uniform procedures and agency-wide communication and morale.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in personal lines program management
- Knowledge of markets and personal lines coverage.
- Technical Education-Producers License preferred.
- Pay range: $120,000-$160,000/yr.
