The role of Pet Stylist is a very important component to the overall guest experience. The Pet Stylist will assume complete responsibility for the grooming or bathing of our guests, either while a guest at PetSuites or as a walk-in appointment. The Pet Stylist must be dependable, caring and pay attention to detail. He or she must have experience grooming or bathing all breeds of dogs. We believe in patience, kind and caring handling of all pets while here at PetSuites.

PET STYLIST RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that each guest is treated with respect and dignity
• Ensure that all guests are groomed or bathed (depending on owner’s requests) to the owner’s specifications. Grooms/Baths must be completed on time.
• Properly maintain all grooming tools to insure quality of grooms.
• Promptly notify manager if PetSpa supplies are needed (bandana, shampoos, etc)
• Maintain a sanitary and healthy environment by following PetSuites standards of cleaning and disinfecting PetSpa. See below for details.
• Monitor guest’s health while grooming or bathing. Report any unusual concerns to the general manager or senior supervisor.
• Follow all PetSuites standards of safety with regards to handling guests, particularly aggressive guests and escape artists
• Adhere to PetSuites pricing guidelines. Get prior approval from manager or pet’s owner before any additional costs are added to service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing and grasping.
• Talking and hearing to effectively convey information and understand instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.

REPORTS TO:

The Pet Stylist reports directly to the general manager

CLASSIFICATION:

Commission based.
