PGIM Portfolio Advisory (PPA) is a newly established investment business within PGIM responsible for providing institutional clients asset-liability management, portfolio strategy, and asset allocation solutions utilizing PGIM’s multi-asset class expertise with a focus on public and private credit. On behalf of its clients, PPA will oversee portfolio construction, execution, and management and will partner with PGIM affiliates including PGIM Fixed Income, PGIM Private Capital, and PGIM Real Estate to deliver best in class private origination, credit underwriting, investment research, and risk management capabilities across a full range of asset classes.

The PPA team is looking for a sharp and strategic individual to join the team as a Relationship Management Director who will be responsible for leading PPA’s client servicing and client development efforts. You will be reporting to PPA’s Head of Strategy & Product who reports to the CEO of PPA. You will be part of flat team with broad responsibilities and need to be a creative thinker and entrepreneurial self-starter and eager to drive one of Prudential’s and PGIM’s most important strategic initiatives.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $140,000 to $190,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading PPA’s client development efforts, including building the client segmentation strategy and overall client engagement strategy.

  • Serving as a primary contact client contact for PPA’s clients.

  • Liaising with various groups within PPA and other PGIM affiliates to ensure all client needs are met.

  • Managing the preparation and review of all client presentation materials, in conjunction with PPA Marketing.

  • Delivering quarterly or semiannual portfolio reviews for select clients.

  • Attending and leading appropriate prospect and client presentations.

  • Developing and producing client communications on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.

  • Developing asset class fluency and a solid understanding of PGIM’s flagship credit strategies (public fixed income, private debt, and real estate debt).

  • Building and maintaining a cross-PGIM network of other client-facing professionals to help catalyze cross-affiliate client opportunities.

  • Coordinating client communication and client coverage across PPA.

  • Conducting on-going analysis and research of key client segments and market trends and providing strategic counsel to PPA’s senior leadership.

  • Developing a deep understanding of the distinct institutional client segments (corporate pensions, public pensions, sovereign wealth funds, and insurers) and how PPA and PGIM capabilities and strategies map within the various channels.

  • Ensuring CRM contacts and meeting notes are updated and current.

  • Producing client meeting notes and posting to the CRM, with attention to trends and strategic decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CFA desired but not required.

  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of investment or investment sales experience.

  • Effective team player, able to work with people of all levels.

  • Organized, detail oriented, with strong time management skills.

  • Successful track record of working in a team environment.

  • Ability to take support a multi-national group.

  • Ability to travel as necessary.

  • Strong interpersonal, listening and writing skills.
