Help us grow our team of seasoned home health professionals! Goodwin Home Health, a service line of Goodwin Living that provides rehabilitative services to older adults in the community. Join a team that supports independence and flexibility in your Physical Therapist career!

About the position:

Goodwin Home Health is currently seeking a Full-time Physical Therapist to work 36 hours per week, including weekends. In this position, you will work with our dynamic and passionate team at Goodwin Home Health. As PT, you will develop and implement the safe delivery of quality skilled Home Health therapy services to older adults in their homes. Goodwin Home Health provides skilled care throughout Northern Virginia, focusing on the counties of: Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun.

Duties:

  • Performs/completes OASIS documentation
  • Performs a detailed assessment resulting in the development of a patient specific Plan of Care. Client clinical record documentation is done per agency policy
  • Provides direct physical therapy care in a Home Health setting under the guidelines of a physician’s order
  • Communicates with other team members regarding the Plan of Care and works closely with team members for optimal outcomes
  • Effectively communicates with referring physicians, and provides accurate treatment notes and other necessary documentation in a timely manner, per policy.
  • Prepares for patient discharge planning as soon as possible along with informing and preparing the patient, team members and physician

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy
  • Active Physical Therapy License in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Prior home health care experience
  • Current CPR certification
  • Possess a Virginia Driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance and readily available, reliable transportation
