Overview:
Celilo Radiation Oncology is a well-established practice of twenty years focused on person-centered cancer treatment. We are a thriving practice looking for a practice-building full-time physician interested in becoming a future leader of this service line.

This multidisciplinary center has a seasoned support staff of nurse navigation, MA, AA, Dosimetrists, and radiation therapists. It also has collaboration with multiple medical centers as well as to hospitalists, active surgeons, social work, nutrition, wound care, acupuncture and other service lines for holistic care of the patients. Celilo Oncology is Commission on Cancer (CoC) and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) accredited.

With the recent instillation of a Varian True Beam Linac the desired candidate is someone interested in developing our stereotactic radiotherapy program and supporting the associated increase in volumes. We are looking for a long-term commitment to our community that supports a large rural region with a broad range of cancer types.
Close to Mount Hood and located 1.5 hour east of Portland, we are situated along the scenic Columbia River gorge. The region offers world class kite boarding, wind surfing and skiing.
Responsibilities:
The Physician provides clinical services within the scope of practice of his/her specialty and in alignment with the Planetree philosophy and mission; adheres to all evaluation, treatment, procedure and mediation guidelines as directed by clinical and department policies and state or federal law; conducts self-in a professional manner, strictly following confidentiality policies and working cooperatively and supportively with other staff; regularly evaluates staff and provider performance, providing constructive feedback and realistic expectations.

The physician must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient/client served in the clinic, department or appropriate assignment. Based on this; knowledge, he/she provides service according to the identified age specific needs.

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO with good standing
  • ABR Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician
  • Knowledge with electronic medical records system.
  • Reliable and detail-oriented
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in community based, patient-centered care.
  • Enjoys work with peers, clinical, and support staff.
