Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL is currently seeking a medical physicist. Candidate should have a broad range of clinical experience in all aspects of Radiation Oncology. This position is clinically oriented. Duties will include:
- Performing QAs on all treatment machines. This includes machine calibration, imaging QA, CT QA, brachytherapy QA etc
- Actively participate in chart rounds and perform initial, weekly and final chart checks.
- IMRT, RapidArc, SRS and 3D planning and Verification. Willing to learn treatment planning and double check plans.
- LDR Brachytherapy: This is mainly for prostate seed implant
- HDR Brachytherapy : GYNE implants including Tandem and Ring, Cylinder, Syed, etc
- Work with and consult with other physics team members, physicians, dosimetry, and therapist staff in the implementation of new treatment protocols.
- Candidate must have great communication skills, be personable, hard working, flexible and willing to have fun.
Rush Copley currently has a TrueBeam and TrueBeam STx machine with Brainlab, VariSource IX HDR, PHILIPS CT scanner. The department has ARIA as the record and verify system and Varian Eclipse as the external beam treatment planning system as well as IPLAN for radiosurgery. We use Variseed for prostate seed planning and Brachyvision for HDR planning. The department is staffed with 3 physicists and 2 dosimetrists.
