JOB DESCRIPTION: Pipefitter

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Layout, fabricate, and install in accordance with diagrams, sketches, piping and engineering specifications, designated piping systems from screwed or mechanical to welded joints using standard hand, power, and precision-measuring tools, equipment, or instruments.
• Capable of repairing or re–working existing piping systems, parts, and materials, as necessary to maintain process integrity to code specifications.
• Capable of testing all piping systems and verifying systems integrity.
• Able to install equipment process tubing systems and confirm operational control.
• Ability to act as quality control for work performed.
• Participate in team meetings and safety meetings.
• Work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions.
• Works in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels.
• May work in areas with hazardous chemicals.
• Works outdoors on uneven surfaces.
• May be required to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch for long periods of time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in industrial construction and maintenance in similar industry.
• Previous experience as pipefitter, including testing to qualify as journeyman.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Communications:

• Able to read, write, speak & comprehend English fluently

Hearing:

• Hearing adequate to perform job duties

Speaking:

• Able to communicate clearly in person and over phone

Vision:

• Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties as indicated

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
