Production Manufacturing Accounting Clerk

This position plays a key role in providing various accounting duties related to daily production results for all manufacturing processes and will be a backup for accounts payable and/or accounts payable overflow.

Primary Responsibilities

• Enter daily plant production for manufacturing processing and report into Excel, resolving any issues timely
• Complete daily and monthly inventory reporting and reconciliation
• Backfill Accounts Payable including - Receive, match, and code plant invoices, prepare new vendor requests and resolve accounts payable issues as needed
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle count program
• Assist daily/Weekly/Monthly extracting and formatting files from SAP for Controller
• Assist at Month End pulling Extracts and formatting various data load files
• Other duties as assigned

Key Skills Needed

• Must be proficient in all areas of Microsoft office, particularly Microsoft Excel where intermediate level is REQUIRED ex (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Sort/Filter, etc.)
• SAP experience preferred
• Manufacturing and/or Accounting experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task
• Must be able to work independently and make decisions in line with Plant and Finance department objectives
• Excellent time management skills and job prioritization skills required
• Team Player with good work ethic and professionalism

Education

• Preferred - Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in accounting; or three to five years in manufacturing environment accounting

Experience

• Preferred - A minimum of 2 years' hands-on manufacturing accounting experience
• Strong understanding of fundamental Accounts Payable practices and procedures
• Able to demonstrably explain a process and a few examples of the formulas they have used consistently and projects/tasks they have applied them to or performed regularly

This is a full-time position reporting to the Accounting Manager. The Accounting Clerk will report to an office Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work outside of the normal schedule may be occasionally required to meet time sensitive deadlines as job duties demand. The position will be filled with someone working out of our Carlisle location.
