CAD Drafter Job Description

CAD Draftsman (Plumbing/MEP) is fully responsible for Design and AutoCAD Drafting Shop Drawings, As Built drawings for MEP Projects related to infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing presentation Drawings in AutoCAD.
• Preparation of Plumbing DWV systems/Drawings
• Assist with take-off and fixtures count
• Respond to customer queries regarding drawings.
• Knowledge of Revit preferred
• 2D AutoCAD drawing
• Domestic water, waste and vent system knowledge, sizing, system layout
• Med Gas system design experience is a plus (not required).
• Plumbing schematics – one line riser diagram
• Picking up redmarks
• Drafter shall work in a team environment to develop accurate, constructible, coordinated, and timely plumbing system models with other building trades.
• The drafter will report to the PM/APM
• Ensure Integral design checklist is being followed
• Follow-up Drawing Schedule Delivery for each project assigned
