Our campus offers four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.

In addition, we are affiliated with the Outer Banks Medical Group comprised of multiple primary care, specialty care, and urgent care practices.

Position Summary

The Point of Service Specialist is responsible for providing quality customer services to all patients, patients family members, visitors, physicians and co-workers. Performs all duties associated with registering patients for professional fees related to practice including obtaining demographic, insurance and medical information from all patients and/or family members. Accurately enters appropriate patient information and charges into the EMR (electronic medical record) of The Outer Banks Hospital, for appropriate registration/dual registration.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of High School or equivalent or higher education.

Must have customer service experience and computer skills.

Health care of physician practice experience is preferred.

This position is located at the OBMG - Avon Family Medicine.

This is a full-time, 36 hours per week, position.

This position is eligible for full-time team member benefits.
