Job Description

Are you an IT Security Policy Analyst with a background in Security Control Assessment and Analysis? This project includes support for a Departmental review and update of Cybersecurity related policies. You will be responsible for knowing all applicable federal mandates, how and where these mandates tie into government agency orders, policies, instructions, standards, handbooks, and guides, as well as the impact of the security requirements on customer systems and mission.

What you get to do every day:

  • Provide technical advisory services for the development of policies, cyber strategy, cyber network architecture, etc.
  • Contribute to the development of the Department’s Cybersecurity Policy Framework
  • Conduct research and analysis of the latest IT security laws, memorandum, requirements, trends, etc.
  • Contribute to the efforts to build a comprehensive common control program for the Department

Qualifications

**US Citizenship required, Public Trust Eligible**

What skills are required?

  • 3 years of general experience and 2 years of relevant functional experience (including Access Control Policy and procedures, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response procedures, and continuous monitoring policy and procedures)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • General understanding of NIST SP Series documentation and guidance
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Concise writing skills

What is ideal?

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Additional years of experience, in lieu of degree
  • Understanding of and experience with CSAM is a plus
  • CompTIA Security+

Location:

  • This is a hybrid role with expectations of being on client site as needed
