San Luis Valley Health is looking for a full-time Polysomnographic Technologist to join our cardiopulmonary team! Our Polysomnographic Technologists would work under the general supervision of the department director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.

What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Active Colorado license if applicable, with good standing.
- Completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography or successful completion of no less than one year duration associated with a state licensed an/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technologist.
- Credentialed by organizations such as the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
What You'll Do:
- Reviews physician orders and makes recommendations as appropriate for procedure being performed.
- Assists in developing and writing policies, procedures, goals and objectives as required as well as formulates educational material and direct patient education concerning diagnostics.
- Maintains function of departmental diagnostic equipment to include troubleshooting, safe operation, preventative maintenance, quality assurance, cleaning/disinfecting along with using equipment and related supplies safely.
- Gather and analyze patient information to include collecting, analyzing and integrating patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs (physical and/mental health limitation; current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure; pertinent medical/social history) and to determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician. Complete and verify documentation. Explain pre-testing, testing and post-testing procedures.
- Completes documentation while maintaining an organized filing system for each test.
