Ports Structural Engineer (EIT)
We are looking for a civil engineer to join our company. In this role, you'll collaborate with the engineering team with the preparation of design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates on waterfront structures including piers, wharves, bulkheads, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures.
The ideal candidate will either have experience or worked as an intern/co-op in a team environment.
Ports Structural Engineer Responsibilities:
- Structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
- Prepare design calculations under senior engineer.
- Participate in inspection and rehabilitation of waterfront structures.
- Develops inspection reports as needed.
- Perform design checks as part of the LEI quality metrics and best practices.
- Help resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design works and detailed checking of design computations done by others.
Ports Structural Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT registration
- Familiarity with AutoCad, SAP2000 or STAAD and Ensoft (L-pile/A-pile)
- Avaliability and willingness to travel
- Solid math and analytical skills. Very detailed oriented.
- The ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
