Pepose Vision Institute is looking for a Practice Administrator to be a role model for staff and a collaborator with physicians to ensure the delivery of exemplary patient care. The Practice Administrator leads the daily clinical and operational functions of the ophthalmology medical practice; establishes and maintains clinical standards of care; manages staff and resources; facilitates and maintains compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations; and creates a culture of teamwork and respect.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years of progressively responsible management experience in the ophthalmic industry; Certified Ophthalmology Practice Administrator desired.

Proven success or ability to be successful being a role model for all areas within an ophthalmology practice.
Proven experience in developing and delivering against annual financial and operational plans.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Well-developed ability to manage change and build culture.
Empowering and inclusive leadership style.
Solid quantitative and financial acumen.
Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft software, including an ability to effectively work in Excel.
Experience with ophthalmology-related PM and EHR systems.
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Capable of working with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams and interacting with staff at all levels inside and outside of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages and coordinates the schedule templates, staffing levels, and workflow to maximize patient access, accelerate revenue generation, and facilitate growth opportunities.
Manages the revenue cycle management processes to ensure timely and accurate patient insurance verifications and pre-collections, and accurate and expedient coding, billing, and collections with payors.
Establishes quality assurance and performance improvement measures to support the delivery of exemplary patient care as well as ongoing staff development.
Manages administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of all policies and procedures.
Encourages and role-models cross-functional problem-solving to improve quality of services and productivity.
Works effectively with peers, physicians, managers, employees, and others.
