SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Pre Weigh/Compounder for our client’s chemical manufacturing plant in Bedford Park, IL. The Pre Weigh/Compounder is responsible for mixing chemicals, pre weigh activities for cGMP compliance and Accuracy. To produce bulk materials for packaging production to the specifications of the batch card in a timely and safe manner.
Position will entail standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 25 pounds throughout shift. Successful applicants will be very detail-oriented.

Available shifts include 1st - 6 AM - 2:30 PM Mon - Fri. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Responsibilities of the Pre Weigh/Compounder:

• Follow the requirement of SPO DH-09
• Responsible for the weighing, checking, and verification of mixing specific chemical compounds for production.
• Monitor the mixing process and ensure accuracy of batch.
• Performs set-up, operation, and continuous monitoring of tanks and mixing equipment for product formulas.
• Calibrate and operate all equipment such as scales, pH meters, tanks, graduates, pots, etc.
• Troubleshoot any batch issues and resolve through re-calibrating equipment.
• Perform daily sanitization of equipment and maintain a clean work area throughout shift.

Preferred Qualifications of the Pre Weigh/Compounder:

• Minimum of 3 Year experience in a personal care manufacturing environment or similar auditing background.
• Read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, reports and legal documents.
• Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community.
• Write and speak clearly and effectively.
• Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/ or regulatory agencies.
• Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Experience working with chemicals and/or chemical compounding.
• Previous experience in a production environment.
