• Our current Support Teacher compensation range is $14- $18 per hour.

We are experiencing an unprecedented demand for spaces in all of our classrooms and are ready to expand. We have immediate full and part time positions available working with children ranging from 1 year to 4 years of age at both of our west end locations. Located in Western Henrico County near Short Pump, The Primrose School at Westerre Commons and the Primrose School of Twin Hickory are independently owned by a passionate and engaged ownership team. Both locations are a part of a national family of accredited schools serving infants through kindergarten, after-schoolers, their families and communities. Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a positive relationship with parents, children, and co-workers
• Maintain a positive, appropriately-structured environment while adhering to the provided classroom schedule
• Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming
• Work with lead teacher to assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create and explore
• Attend all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions, ensuring that training requirements are met or exceeded
• Observe all rules and regulations of the Primrose School at Westerre Commons and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children

Requirements:

• Ability to relate positively to young children
• Previous teaching experience in a public or private school, preschool or childcare center preferred but we are willing to train the right person
• Excellent communication skills
• Skills in time management with the ability to organize environment and prioritize work
• Two year degree in early childhood or related field preferred but we are willing to train the right person
