About the Position: We are looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our team! This person will setup, load, and operate press brake machines to shape, form, and bend sheet metal pieces that have been torch cut. All bends must be made according to Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc.'s Engineering Department standards, specifications, and prints. Each part must be inspected for accuracy. This individual will also be responsible for the cleanliness of the Press Department and the organization of Press Department materials, e.g., punches, dies, shims. We will train material handling functions in-house, e.g., forklift. This position is also responsible for recording all print discrepancies and reporting those discrepancies to their supervisor to be addressed with the Engineering Department.

Experience Required:

  • 2+ years' experience operating a press
  • Manufacturing experience a must
  • Ability to work overtime when available
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Experience with computers and functionality of computers

Responsibilities:

  • Set-up, load, and operate press bake machines
  • Make bends according to Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc.'s Engineering Department standards, specifications, and prints
  • Managing the organization and cleanliness of the Press Department and the organization of Press Department materials, e.g. punches, dies, shims
  • Perform material-handling functions (forklifts, etc.)
  • Record and report all print discrepancies and report those discrepancies
  • Cross-train in other departments (torch, machine shop, welding)
  • Clock to jobs and operations
  • Set-Up & Operation on Large (240-, 750- and 2,000-Ton) Manual Press Brakes
