Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Ryan White Wellness Center (RWWC) Program Director, the Prevention Program Coordinator is responsible for providing program coordination and sound operational direction for the RWWC PREP/Prevention program from the components of a framework developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Public Health Service. The Prevention Program Coordinator will work closely with the Outreach Specialist and others in the Diversity, Inclusion, & Health Equity department of RSFH in coordinating prevention and outreach activities
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required, preferably in healthcare, social work, health promotion, public health, or psychology.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in community based or government health programs, preferably in a hospital, public health department, mental health agency, home health or hospice agency, HIV consortium and/or equivalent combination of training and experience. Related unpaid or internship experience accepted.

Knowledge/Skills: Ability to build consultative relationships, to work collaboratively and to develop successful partnerships with others. Strong working knowledge of and experience in communications, marketing, promotion and social media. Knowledge of HIV, STD's and TB issues and treatments available. Knowledge of public health/communicable disease policies and procedures. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a wide variety of people and organizations. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and design software for graphics. Excellent communication skills and experience speaking to large groups and individuals. Skill in coordinating social and community events. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and reach communities effectively. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports. Ability to react calmly and effectively in a variety of situations. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to analyze situations and apply critical thinking.
Other: Individual capable of working collaboratively with others in a variety of settings and disciplines. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
