Principal Education Specialist
The Learning & Development team drives behaviors in the sales organization that accelerate top-line growth, enable strategy execution, and increase talent retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, Development and Execution of Talent Development Programs
- Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for sales and clinical field personnel
- Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids
- Leads new hire and ongoing education training programs for the assigned product portfolio
- Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives
- Maintains communication with customers, sales leadership, and Field Sales Trainers (FSTs) to ensure effectiveness of training. Diagnoses performance gaps and designs plans to address through training and other methods within the organization
- Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date
- Designs full training experiences from preparation, delivery, follow up, and measurement
- Defines and scales best practices through multiple channels, including FSTs, Allego, best practice calls, webinars, and regional and national training events
- Coordinates with team members to manage FST program in support of new hire training for assigned product portfolios
- Contributes to the creation of programs and measures that build commercial organization talent beyond proficiency
- Participates in leadership development events for FSTs, leadership development programs, and region management
- Manages major / moderately complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products, at times acting as a team leader
Sales Enablement
- Works in close partnership with the marketing and sales teams to identify business needs and support with corresponding training and development initiatives and programs
- Develops and execute programs and assets that support the sales strategy
- Provides input to marketing on messaging strategies to affect customer adoption
- Provides field-based input to guide commercial strategic plans and sales resource development
- Be a change manager, effectively driving adoption of new platforms, resources, and practices
Product Launch Support
- Assists marketing in market reconnaissance, approach, talk tracks, and customer engagement tactics
- Works as part of a cross-functional team that includes marketing, sales, Medical Education, and R&D in the execution of go-to-market plans
- Analyzes sales organization drivers of a successful launch and efficiently build out supporting training programs and assets
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
