Job Description:
The Principal Product Engineer role will support and lead cross-functional new product development teams in the Analog Power and Interface Business Unit with proven experience working with Analog Power Management and Interface products. The Principal Product Engineer responsibilities includes bench setup, definition / automation, bench testing, debugging, data analysis, reporting, project management, and technical mentoring.
The Principal Product Engineer will be expected to
- Prepare overall project, validation, characterization, qualification, and material control plans
- Validate and characterize silicon and track project tasks to completion
- Participate in new product development teams and track project progress from project kick-off
- Prepare bench setups for silicon validation, characterization and ATE correlation
- Analyze and report data
- Ensure devices are manufacturable and are setup correctly in the production system
- Debug problems in an organized and efficient manner to define root cause solutions
- Lead root cause analysis problem solving efforts in teams
- Coach and mentor Junior Engineers
- Interact effectively with a worldwide team of new product development engineers
- Work on systems to improve the efficiency of development of new products
- Technical lead for the assigned product line
Requirements/Qualifications:
- MSEE (preferred) or BSEE and 10+ years previous experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must possess excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess excellent presentation skills
- Skilled in statistical analysis for large amounts of data
- Understands and complies with TS16949 or IATF16949
- Lab skills on the bench and hands-on experience with test equipment (preferred)
- Preferred experience with Analog products, specifically DC to DC Converters, MOSFET Drivers, CAN/LIN, Motor Control, Discrete FETs (Si and SiC preferred), and Switching Power Supplies
- Familiarity with automated test equipment and programming experience, preferably Labview, Visual Basic, C++, and/or MatLab.
- Preferred ability to lead teams and develop project plans

Pay Range:
The expected base salary range for this position, if filled in California, is $75,000 - $232,000, dependent on specific skills and work experience. We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. In addition to these components, our package includes health benefits that begin day one, retirement savings plans, and an industry leading ESPP program with a 2 year look back feature.
