Overview: We’re looking for a Process Piping Engineer to join our dynamic team in our Melbourne office. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs assignments designed to continue to develop professional engineering work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Assignments require independent judgment and application of a non-routine, complex nature, under the supervision of the Director or a more senior-level engineer. Assignments shall include more variables and be more complex. Assignments usually include complex engineering tasks and calculations with limited technical guidance on non-standard issues. Independently performs most assignments with instruction as to the general results expected. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects. Should devise new engineering approaches and solutions. Must coordinate with and help resolve conflicts with other disciplines based on an excellent understanding of the design process. Responsible for the preparation of project-specific construction specifications and for all aspects of construction administration.
  • Performs design and calculation tasks based on standard engineering techniques and procedures. Applies standard practices, engineering fundamentals, and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, and follows design through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
  • Moderate knowledge of fluid or gas handling systems.
  • Moderate principle knowledge of compressible and incompressible flow, thermodynamics, and materials.
  • Knowledge of ASME Codes (B31.3, BPVC, etc.).
  • Experience with piping, tubing, fittings, welding, valves, filters, and regulators.
  • Must be proficient in the use of:
  • Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Bluebeam.
  • Autodesk Revit, PTC Creo, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD
  • AFT Arrow
  • AFT Fathom

Qualifications: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of four years of experience as an engineer in Process Piping.

CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Possess a Certificate of Engineer in Training (EIT)
