POSITION TITLE: Processing Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Processing Supervisor is responsible to assist the Director of Processing with daily supervision of the Complex processing operation, while performing regular duties as a worker on the processing line.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate the Safety program and initiatives for the processing operation and continuously demonstrate safe work habits. Support other safety matters throughout the Complex. Ensure that all employees are working safely at all times. Coordinate and participate in retraining and implement change with purpose and urgency.
• Supervise the daily/routine activities for the Processing group. Ensure processes and procedures are operating with efficiency and in a cost-effective manner.
• Work hands-on in the processing plant or in the warehouse as needed to cover the work load, demonstrate expectations, and train employees.
• Coordinate daily order processing. Coordinate printing and confirm packaging labels, determine packaging/processing order, and ensure orders are packaged correctly.
• Keep all product and pallets clean and free from contamination to ensure the highest food quality and food safety.
• Assist in the personnel management of the Processing team, supporting a team atmosphere.
• Ensure that inventories of supplies needed for Processing are maintained at the necessary levels.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• 3+ years experience working in egg processing
• Ability to work 10+ hour days
• Ability to lead, motivate and supervise a team of employees
• Ability to work successfully with all levels of complex employees
• Self motivation, independent work habits
• Some computer skills
• Effective communicator
