Job Title: Procurement Manager

Reports to: Director of DC Operations

Pay: 70,000 – 85,000 / per year+ Bonus Eligible and Full Time Associate Benefits

Location: Denver, CO

Job Description: We are looking for a candidate who has experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with an expertise in buying or procurement in the cannabis industry. The Buyer Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategy for all assigned categories. Will recommend purchasing quantities for retail stores, through pure data driven decisions.

Duties:

• Responsible for placing purchase orders for business operations with vendors.
• Develop and improve purchasing strategies with senior management to improve the cost of all department activities and expenditures.

• Develop and improve replenishment strategies within the ERP system as well as standard operating procedure logs
• Maintain and report ERP data to all senior members of the Distribution Team
• Responsible for maintaining inventory levels and cycle counts.
• Develop, improve, and execute department KPIs including stock on hand, cost of inventory, cycle times and counts, out of inventory reports, etc. Monitor inventory levels and turns
• Search available products to find the best combination of delivery

• Manage deliveries to confirm compliance with contracts and according to all MED (Marijuana Enforcement Division) regulations.
• Monitor stock levels and verify purchase patterns across all distribution center locations.
• Lead and recommend solutions to existing processes based on experience and past best-practice policies.
• Collaborate with management to plan forecasting models

• Create and maintain vendor grading/score cards
• Support existing leadership with all management responsibilities

Requirements and Qualifications:

• CO MED Badge required

• Detailed and demonstrated knowledge and experience with MRP (Materials and Resource Planning) systems, item attributes, and pull inventory methods.
• Extensive knowledge of Metrc a plus
• Effective communication skills and team building mentality
• Strong analytical skills.
• Keen eye for detail
• Warehouse management experience is preferred

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, supply chain management, or equivalent work experience is preferred but not necessary
• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing role
• 3+ years of cannabis experience

Physical Requirements:

• Mobility to work in a warehouse environment. Able to lift fifty (50) pounds.

• Some travel may be required.
