Formosa Interactive
The Formosa Interactive Voice Over Producer will work out of the West LA studio in several capacities. This role engages with our Voice Over team, our clients, actors, agents, and directors; and drives results with applied production and project management excellence. The Producer guides our clients and their projects through each phase of the voice over recording process while managing scope negotiations, union/non-union policies, budgets, schedules, and overall client expectations. The role requires preparedness, flexibility, multitasking, attention to detail, patience, and confidence in dealing with the entertainment professionals we engage with at the highest level.
The Voice Over Producer role is an FTE position, reporting to the Director of Voice Over Services.
Responsibilities:
- Build and preserve relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Create and maintain detailed budgets for clients and related projects
- Anticipate the needs of each project and manage client expectations
- Build schedules and timelines for each phase of the recording process
- Be the prime communication point between the clients, actors, and recording crew at all times
- Efficiently communicate with the leading voice over agents in Los Angeles, and facilitate rate negotiations for all actor types, including celebrities.
- Assist casting directors in the audition process - create/distribute sides, collect reads, and organize callbacks.
- Schedule and book actors and directors for their upcoming voiceover sessions
- Ensure that all session materials are delivered expediently from the client
- Provide thorough session information to actors, directors, and crew including all the necessary details and materials about their upcoming voiceover sessions
- Generate talent paperwork for payment (including contracts, reimbursement invoices, tax documents, timecards, NDAs, and all relevant paperwork.)
- Communicate with SAG-AFTRA directly regarding any number of union-related issues
- Process and submit talent paperwork following each session per established guidelines
- Ensure all various project related costs are accounted for and tracked in the appropriate budgets
- Close projects and communicate detailed budget records to Formosa Finance for invoicing
Required Skills:
- Must have a solid background in the entertainment industry; Minimum 4 years experience in interactive/video game voice over production. Previous experience as a Producer or Project Manager is a plus
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to coordinate and meet talent/company's needs under tight deadlines
- Must be flexible and open to the occasional after-hours emergency correspondence
- Must be able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a creative problem solver and multitasker
- Must be comfortable handling many personality types
- Must be comfortable living in spreadsheets
- Must be reliable, proactive, and organized
- Must function well in a laid back yet professional setting
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School education or equivalent required.
- BA/BS in applicable field preferred.
