Product Delivery VP will be responsible for driving end-to-end product delivery and implementation of new products, product enhancements and product portfolio management across North America. This position will act as a cross-functional lead throughout the organization to communicate and deliver expected results and raise and resolve obstacles for financially impactful projects. Success will be achieved through leadership, cross functional collaboration, transparent reporting and product project management and delivery according to plan for all aspects of product initiatives from initial design development, competitive analysis, product specifications, operationalizing of products in every area of the organization, through product launch and ongoing maintenance.
Responsibilities
Project Management – Responsible for managing, leading and coaching a team of project implementation and delivery managers that support all product related initiatives, developing that team into subject matter experts, and achieving product implementation and delivery goals as planned.
Product Management – Leadership position supporting the Product Committee Chair by building and managing the product development roadmap, coordinating and supporting product governance documentation, and product committee meetings. Owner and keeper of product specifications and documentation.
Product Reporting – Communicates project status to project team, business owners and stakeholders to make certain all impacted areas have an understanding of roadmaps, risks, issues and activities related to product projects.
Operational Readiness – Provide both internal and external technical product support in order to operationalize product teams efforts. This includes internal tracking and documenting compliance and regulatory changes, contracts approval and state variability, as well as external sales support in the form of product manuals updates, policyholder communications and rate change communications.
Enterprise Support – Provide product direction and working with enterprise partners on product initiatives, related to administration, claims, customer fulfillment, sales development, enrollment, etc., as well as other corporate projects.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Extensive experience in developing, deploying and supporting insurance products and/or integrated suite of insurance products.
Proven leadership skills to drive cross-functional teamwork, collaboration and buy-in; seeks feedback without hesitation; and creates a shared sense of urgency.
Creative problem solver with hands on experience in problem framing, escalation and resolution at the intersection of Talent, Technology and Business dimensions.
Navigates through ambiguous contexts with confidence.
Ability to break large complex initiatives into smaller manageable features and capabilities and deliver them early and often.
Experience of the Group/Worksite Market and Supplemental Benefits

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline. 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
8 years relevant industry experience in Product Development, Actuarial, Underwriting, Marketing, or Operations to include direct product management experience
