ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a Product Design Engineer for Avionic Controls Systems. This position will focus on the mechanical aspects of system and system of systems controls for engine and flight control solutions. The position will require working with mechanical design and modeling tools such as PTC CREO and Solidworks. Candidate will be the liaison between end customer and internal engineering to create compatible solutions for the team. Top level design charts and meeting slide development such as Preliminary Design Review and Critical Design Review packages will be required. The end product solution will become the basis for mechanical, electrical, software solution. The position is continuous through final test and even post-delivery upgrades. Solution work is performed in Windchill Configuration Management system. Experience with this or similar systems is a plus. Project requirements are controlled using the DOORS environment. Experience with DOORS is a plus.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • BS or equivalent; min 7 yrs related experience
  • Experience with product design at conceptual level for control systems
  • Experience with mechanical design tools such as PTC CREO
  • Experience with external/internal design teaming
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients and colleagues
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Qualifications Desired

  • Experience on DoD/Military programs
  • CM Systems experience including Windchill, Razor, and Synergy
  • RM Systems experience including DOORS
