Essential Duties:

  • Engineer all jobs submitted by sales daily, with priority given to jobs shipping same or next day.
  • Jobs that are not released to production same day, coordinate with sales or production promptly to resolve discrepancies.
  • Display accuracy and understanding of products being requested and how to best produce them.
  • Expedite shipping as much good product on time as possible.
  • Deliver job traveler tickets (includes all relevant job information) to correct departments (sales, digital, sewing, etc.)
  • Complete job change forms promptly when submitted by sales to prevent scrap.
  • Close jobs in a timely manner for month end cost reporting (entails confirming job quantities and materials were entered and issued properly to ensure inventory and job cost are accurate)
  • Keep production methods up to date for commonly produced items
  • Create stock jobs replenishing inventory to meet demand without jeopardizing custom job schedules.
  • Help problem solve unique product construction requests, ways to minimize rework and scrap, reduce capacity and logistic issues, and other business challenges.
  • Identify potential issues with incoming orders and initiate project launch meetings accordingly to alert corresponding departments.

Areas of Emphasis:

  • Fabrication and design of printed fabric and rigid plastic structures for interior and exterior retail, exhibit, and event applications using digital large format printing capabilities.
  • Planning and execution of multiple short lead time projects emphasizing the efficient use of material, resources, and people across multiple departments and locations.
  • Project management including the design, manufacturing, and fulfillment or orders for Fortune 500 companies like Kohl’s, Disney, and McDonalds.
  • Business improvement including fabric research, lean manufacturing initiatives, and people development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 - $52,500.00 per year
