GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:

The Product Manager is responsible for leading product portfolio management, product pricing and to ensure alignment with corporate goals for quality and profitability.

  • Assist in the development of budgets and other financial responsibilities within the department.
  • Develop and measure KPI’s to meet departmental goals and objectives.
  • Drive product strategy and manage product roadmap
  • Identify potential products for development through market research, competitive analysis, margin analysis and gap analysis
  • Responsible for adding profitable in-demand products to our portfolio
  • Maintain, curate and develop as necessary all PDI (Product, Data & Imaging) required to drive eCommerce sales (i.e. Features / Benefits, ACES & PIES, MSDS, Installation Instructions, etc.)
  • Lead ongoing price/cost reviews to drive growth among B2B and B2C customers utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs and forecasting volume
  • Ensure new SKU’s are published for sale across all departments (i.e. Marketing, Sales, etc.)
  • Provide weekly updates regarding departmental activities and achievements.
  • Assist the Purchasing Department with the following:
    • Manage ABCD Inventory Classifications to maintain adequate stocking levels and achieve best-in-class service levels without being overstocked
    • Maintain accurate BOM’s for all SKU’s
    • Participate in weekly Material Review Board meetings to discuss potential problems with products and raw material, and then determine resolution.
    • Supply Chain:
      • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and third-party brokers.
      • Assist in RFQ process to drive continual improvement and profitability.
  • Assist the Marketing Department with the following:
    • Online campaigns across different channels to increase traffic and conversion with the goal of ensuring ROI goals are met.
    • Work with technical team to ensure that website technology, structure, organization, design and functionality are customer driven, user-centric and metrics-based. Play an integral role website design and functionality.
    • Ensure the day-to-day effectiveness of content display merchandising, navigation, search functionality, and product presentation to maximize customer experience.
    • Successfully manage vendor and channel partner relationships. Analyze and develop new online marketing relationships such as affiliate programs, link building, and sponsorship opportunities.
    • Implement natural and paid search methodologies; test and recommend optimal SEO strategies for all web properties.
  • Other Duties as assigned

SKILLS & EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain management or related field highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years automotive experience in either (preferably in the aftermarket)
    • Knowledge of automotive products, brands and terminology
  • Demonstrated success developing and launching profitable product lines
  • Excellent Data Management Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Excel: Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency with analyzing large sets of data using formulas such as VLOOKUP, logical tests and pivot tables
    • PowerPoint: Develop and deliver board level presentations
    • Word & Outlook: Excellent written communication
    • Project: Some complex development projects may require the use of GANTT charts and timeline management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience working in an AS400 Environment a plus
  • Light international travel as required
  • Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Subject to prolonged periods of utilizing computers. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, squat, and lift or move up to 15 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS: Works in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled environment. The position is subject to repetitive motions of the fingers, hands, wrists and arms.

SALARY RANGE: $55,000 – 85,000 annually DOE.

Remote work available for a well qualified candidate.
