The Content and Streaming Providers (C&SP) division from Comcast Technology Solutions, offers rich video experiences across every screen with one solution that lets you manage, publish, distribute, and monetize. C&SP bridges broadcast and IP convergence with flexible and open platforms, a complete OTT portfolio, and an advanced monetization and commerce engine. Position Overview CTS is looking to add a Senior Product Manager to manage parts of our live linear product line. The Sr. Product Manager will work with our Philadelphia, Denver and Chennai Engineering teams to drive end-to-end product requirements and ensure that we are providing high-quality, high-performance product our customers love. You will collaborate with our content owners and distribution partners to understand their distribution and aggregation needs, turning them into successful products/service offerings. Provides leadership and direction for a cross-functional matrixed team working on workflow engineering, operations, delivery and onboarding customer. This role will work closely with other operational elements within Comcast and Comcast Cable. Periodic travel is required to key customer locations, trade shows/industry events and other Comcast sites. This position is located in Denver, CO , Philadelphia, or a Virtual location.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Product Owner in Agile Process workflow.
Directs the overall go-to-market strategy, procedures, processes and strategy specific products within the Live/Linear product portfolio.
Leads all phases of the live/linear product lifecycle, from inception through product deployment, and provides direction of introduction into the marketplace.
Evaluates and ensures the viability of new product ideas in the context of the organization's strengths and capabilities, production capability, quality, costs, and marketplace demands.
Advises team on clear documentation of new product ideas and reviews user need analysis reports.
Develops goals, budget, and strategic business plans. Recommends ways to expand sales and profitability.
Identifies and evaluates new product ideas or strategic product extensions and ensures goals in revenue growth and market share are achieved. Serves as a subject-matter expert for assigned products.
Become proficient in distribution tools used by Comcast and X1.
Must have strong business analysis skills and be able to clearly and persuasively articulate complex concepts, analyses and value propositions to customers and partners.
Be an expert on the competition and able to execute on market strategies to counter competition.
Industry experience is plus but must at least have technical aptitude to learn the highly technical area of Live Linear products.
Conference speaking experience a plus
SCTE-224 and SCTE-35 knowledge is plus
Knowledge or ability to quickly learn about Live Streaming, OTT, Broadcast Automation, FAST, and Video transport technologies
Experience working in JIRA and Agile software development workflows.
Actively participate in developing the strategy and roadmap of ourLive Linear Suite
Partner with key stakeholders to develop product roadmaps based on customer data and strategic vision.
Define prioritized feature sets to address customer needs.
Create detailed product requirement documents.
Be hands-on for development, launch and post-launch assessment of all the features you develop.
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.

Ability to create and present PowerPoint decks both for both internal and external consumption

Experience delivering digital streaming media products and/ or linear tv broadcast technology

Direct experience defining product roadmaps which deliver simple, immersive customer experiences while dealing with complex underlying technical requirements.
Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, product, and marketing/business counterparts to deliver online products/service
Education Level
Bachelor’s degree in technical field (EE or CS) or business required; Master’s degree in engineering or MBA is preferred.
