Position Reports To: Senior Manager, Marketing Communications

Position Summary: Bring your marketing experience and passion for understanding the unique nature of every customer's journey and how well designed products can make that customer's professional world better. You will leverage that experience, along with available data, to define customer lifecycle strategies which you will bring to life through the creation of various marketing actions which will be deployed and measured across various channels. This position requires more than just thinking, analyzing and recommending, you will manage the design and deliver the work. Work collaboratively with members of the sales, channel, creative and product marketing teams to create and manage cross-organizational, integrated marketing communication strategies. Manage and implement projects with internal resources, vendors and contractors for the development and production of collateral, promotional materials, web content, email, tradeshows, advertising, blog content, social media and other marketing devices. Review, analyze and edit campaigns, materials and promotions for effectiveness, cross-selling opportunities and adherence to brand guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose business situation of focused product categories (ex: safety, lean, facility operations) and drive toward understanding of customer success points and customer pain points
  • Develop customer-facing marketing strategies to address all stages of the customer lifecycle
  • Recommend and deliver a tactical mix of marketing activity to both generate and grow demand with new and existing customers
  • Evangelize and build a branded customer experience which is both connected to the brand personality and applied consistently across all touchpoints
  • Own the day-to-day project planning and execution of sales enablement / marketing enablement programs in connection with marketing and creative services teams
  • Actively monitor industry trends and news and proactively recommend action to position Company as an expert ready to help navigate those trends
  • Gather market intelligence on customers, competitors and other products purchased by our customers in an effort to help establish differentiation and competitive advantage
  • Motivated by measurement and a desire to test, learn and improve, build measurement models into all marketing efforts

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years related marketing experience recommending, building and executing customer marketing initiatives leveraging both traditional and digital platforms
  • Independent and self-motivated marketing detective who is comfortable with balancing concurrent large assignments and navigating the organization and marketplace to find answers, build recommendations and bring those recommendations to life
  • Proven and demonstrable record of both developing and executing strategic campaigns across multiple channels and varied internal clients, designers, copywriters, merchandisers, performance marketers under tight and changing deadlines
  • Experience acting as a consultant, diagnosing business situation and market environment and in response to market needs developing strategy, creative approach, designing campaigns and recommending tactical mix for demand generation inside both B2B and B2C brands
  • Demonstrated history managing internal client expectations and strategically prioritizing work flow and work volume through the constrained resources of an internal marketing team
  • Motivated by data and measurement, must have demonstrated results in the form of leads generated, traffic driven and revenue created from campaign efforts with an ability to continually analyze campaign performance and recommend improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communications used proactively to keep all project stakeholders fully informed about project status, next steps and success measures
  • Requires excellent project leadership skills and presentation skills
  • Requires excellent budget creation and management skills
  • Experience negotiating and persuading others toward alignment
  • Excellent people skills with bright and enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Proven time manager and comfortable with managing multiple projects and
    business relationships concurrently
  • Up to 10% travel.

  • Familiarity with taking products and services to market through industrial distributor channels and direct-buy ecommerce
  • Familiarity with coordinating the production efforts of an internal-to-company marketing and ecommerce organization
  • History supporting safety products, safety services and safety software
