The Product Support Engineer will provide solutions to a wide range of technical challenges with hardware and software products in NovaTech’s Orion platform to a technical customer base.
Manage NovaTech’s configuration software, NCD3, device profile repository (default files).

This position will also involve some work in testing software/hardware updates, generating short technical notes, becoming a subject matter expert where appropriate.

What you will do:

• Respond to telephone calls and email inquiries multiple times a day.
• Act as customer advocate in resolving issues; leading customers through an occasionally lengthy process to resolution.
• Set up hardware and software to replicate customer’s issue.
• Interact with programmers and engineers to obtain appropriate information for customer to resolve issues.
• Enter information into support database.
• Using a CSV file editor create or edit device profile requests from customers and incorporate into configuration software.
• Using Windows based tools perform application-level tests on Bitronics and Orion software or hardware updates and additions as needed.
• Assist NovaTech systems and testing engineers as needed.

What you need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in SCADA and communications protocols (IEC61850, DNP3, Modbus) a plus.
• Experience in other SCADA and power equipment such as satellite clocks, LTE radios, fault sensors, etc a plus.
• Experience in the electric utility industry helpful, but not required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
