Description:

Responsible for performing production work in factories. Starts, operates, tends, stops, and cleans machines. Assembles finished product. Inspects product to ensure high quality.

Job Responsibilities:

• Measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery
• Operating production line equipment, for example a conveyor line in a canning factory
• Assembling goods on a production line, for instance fitting circuit boards into computers
• Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff
• Finishing products, for example applying protective coatings
• Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks
• Storing goods and raw materials in the factory or warehouse
• Using lifting equipment and forklift trucks
• Packing goods ready for shipment in crates or other containers
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery.
• Operating filling machines
• Operating label machines
• Cleaning filling and labeling machines according to standard operating procedure
• Cleaning work area as needed
• Inspect bottles and jars for visual quality
• Loading/Unloading
• Packing/ Unpacking Boxing / packaging
• Filling bottles, jars, and other packaging material
• Capping bottles and other packaging material
• Palletizing boxes
• Work around filling line machines
• Other duties assigned as necessary

Requirements:

• Good practical skills
• The ability to work quickly and methodically
• Good team-working skills
• The ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks
• The ability to follow instructions
• An awareness of health and safety
• A willingness to work flexibly.
• Be able to lift more than 50 lbs.
• Be able to work in a cold and hot environment
• Be able to work 8 hours in a standing position
