Production Manager

Summary Description:

Manage manufacturing resources efficiently in support of on time delivery and product quality in a Printed Circuit Board manufacturing environment.

Strive to meet Customer and Corporate objectives. Demonstrate continual improvement in the manufacturing domain. Planning, scheduling Circuit Manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Based upon production lead-times, WIP and material availability, verify/make commitments to the customer regarding product delivery.

Monitor and manage production performance.

Plan staffing, shift coverage, materials and machinery to support the Business Plan

Review WIP status and place recommit dates as necessary.

Strive to meet performance metrics.

Establish ongoing cycle time reduction and waste reduction program.

Ensure adherence to the QMS system as it relates to the manufacturing domain.

Monitor and provide performance feedback for employees in accordance with Company policy.

Perform periodic objective performance reviews of supervisors and operators.

Ensure accuracy of employee timecard reports.

Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements and environmental, health and safety regulations.

Set positive safety tone for both subordinates and peers by demonstrating proactive safety habits, holding safety meetings with employees and implementing corporate health & safety policy.

Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations.

Qualifications:

• P.C. literate (i.e.: Windows, Word, and Excel).
• Highly developed interpersonal, organizational and communicative skills.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in scheduling or production control.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Printed Circuit manufacturing
• College Degree or equivalent work experience.

Working Conditions:

• May be exposed to chemicals, dust, and high noise levels in accordance with local and state laws.
• May be required to wear a respirator occasionally.
• May be required to work in a clean room environment.
• May be required to remain on call during some portion of off shift hours. May be required to work off shift hours and overtime.
• May be required to perform other job duties besides primary job duties.
• Must wear personal protective equipment and /or appropriate attire as job requirements dictate.
