National Strand is part of the Metals Processing Group which produces steel wire and cable/wire related products that serve many industries, and wholly owned by The Heico Companies, LLC. The ideal candidate is a team player, capable of maintaining regular and punctual attendance, and with a positive mindset. The Machine Operator will be responsible for safely operating sophisticated equipment and providing basic preventive maintenance to the machine assigned to them, be quality conscious, and adhere accurately to production schedules.

Ø Primary Responsibilities

• Meeting shift output goals to ensure consistent supply of product to the next step in the process.
• Follow and lead protocols for a safe and healthy work environment.
• Setting-up and running product correctly based on training and information given on production cards. If problems are detected, stop the process, and make minor repairs or refer major problems to production leadership and/or maintenance.
• Operating the machines safely and visually observing while in operation.
• Using overhead cranes and/or forklifts to move product in a safe manner.
• Making joins in wire product by safely operating electric butt-welding machines.
• Generating correct identification tags and attaching to finished product.
• Monitor for quality control and make minor machine repairs when detecting a problem.
• Ensuring work area is maintained clean and safety standards are followed.
• Accurately reporting production data as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.01 per hour
