Job description

Perform operations required for the procurement of production commodities required for the modification, maintenance, repair, and production of the CLARK operations. The required material must be available on time as needed to meet company goals and objectives for total cost, quality, inventory levels and requirements. A Production Material Coordinator reports to the Materials Supervisor. A Production Material Coordinator works with a cross-functional team which includes representatives from Manufacturing, Engineering, Order Entry, Quality, Finance, and Purchasing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Issue monthly schedule to shop floor for production trucks, along with job packets for each truck.
• Report production orders complete in the system as trucks are completed & work with production supervisor to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Assist in inventory control, receiving discrepancies and quality problems with suppliers.
• Work with the Material Handlers to transfer all material movement in the system.
• Prioritize and handle various tasks to meet deadlines.

• Thorough understanding of computerized systems pertaining to Order Entry, Project Requirements Planning, Bills of Material, Shop Floor Control, Master Production Planning, Inventory Control and Material Requirements Planning.
• Work on special projects as required.
• Participate as a team member in work, meetings and other functions such as transferring information to others, improving working relationships with co-workers contributing to team success.
• Support company policies and demonstrate concern for the success of the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two year college degree desired, with 1-3 years’ experience in supporting manufacturing, engineering or research and development, and/or maintenance repair and operations.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of confidence and energy level.
• Efficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office
• Ability to problem solve, take supervision and direction from Managers at all levels
• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the US.

ENVIRONMENTAL / PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:

The position is located in an office environment but is required to be in the production area also, and be exposed to the typical production environment which is described as follows:

May encounter loud noise, varying temperatures (including heat during summer and from the operation of equipment. Various machinery and equipment may generate loud noise and vibration. The incumbent may come into contact with oil, grease, paint, solvents and other potentially hazardous materials. The incumbent may also encounter dust, fumes, flying debris, and fast moving machinery, such as forklift trucks.

The position requires using a personal computer and monitor, as well as basic office equipment, including a telephone.
