Location: Cochran, GA

Shift: Day Shift – Monday - Friday 7:45am – 4:30pm with additional hours as needed

2nd Shift - Sunday - Thursday 3:45pm - 12:00am with additional hours as needed

3rd Shift - Sunday - Thursday 11:45pm - 8:00am with additional hours as needed

Summary:

The Production Shift Manager is responsible for leading a team of associates to achieve a variety of goals including: productivity, problem resolution, outstanding customer service, employee relations (motivation and development) and maintaining a safe work environment. The Production Shift Manager works closely with upper management to ensure operational excellence and overall facility success.

Responsibilities

· Ensure exceptional customer service key performance indicators (order fill rate accuracy, unannounced inspections and inventory accuracy, etc.)

· Directly supervises teams of hourly associates

· Maintain a clean, professional and safe working environment by meeting or exceeding Gilmer Warehouse safety requirements

• Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure order accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments

· Promote constant and measurable improvement; teach and enforce Gilmer Warehouse Quality Policy at all times

· Effectively communicate Gilmer Warehouse goals, expectations, areas for improvement and successes to associates

• Ensures team members compliance and adherence to Gilmer Warehouse policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education/Experience

· Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

· At least two (2) years of experience in a lead or supervisor role preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment

Skills and Abilities:

· Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Must be technologically savvy; experience with a Warehouse Management System

· Demonstrated leadership skills to influence team members and implement and manage change

· Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals by listening, sharing ideas and appreciating others’ efforts

· Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; possess solid judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills

· Ability to function in a high-stress environment while focusing on the completion of operational goals

· Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities

· Ability to build a cohesive team that exemplifies Gilmer Warehouse values and operates to support the Gilmer Warehouse mission statement

· Able to operate powered material handling equipment

8 - 10 hour shift does not rotate.
