Innovative Staff Solutions has a direct hire opportunity for a Production Superintendent for a client located in the Hopkinsville, KY area! This is a full-time, permanent position, offering competitive compensation and benefits package with a leading area employer/manufacturer!

The Production Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the production teams by directing the supervisory staff and coordinating activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and cost goals are achieved, customer demands are met, and administrative requirements are followed. This position will oversee both machining and assembly for their KY location, responsible for roughly 500-600 employees and has 9 reporting supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise all Production Supervisors
  • Set goals and expectations for each department’s supervisors and teams, encourage teamwork to achieve goals
  • Ensure the Production Supervisors receive appropriate training so they can lead their teams effectively
  • Monitor production performance metrics (safety, quality, delivery, efficiency) daily and respond immediately to performance not meeting expectations
  • Ensure all processes are performed per documented standards
  • Ensure consistency in applying policies across departments and shifts
  • Ensure that administrative procedures are consistently followed (Safety Incident Reports, Machine Incident Reports, Evaluations, etc.) in all departments and shifts
  • Determine and execute proper production staffing plan
  • Work with and provide feedback to indirect area team leaders / managers regarding production support
  • Monitor production NCMRs to ensure timely resolution
  • Facilitate production Lean OpEx team meetings
  • Actively engage each shift by spending time with each shift on a weekly basis

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent four-year college or technical school and/or 6 or more year’s related experience and /or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience

Special Knowledge/ Experience, Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Requirements

  • Great communicator across all ranks of an organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Manufacturing Business System(s) (e.g. MTMS)
  • Proficiency in Labor Management Systems (e.g. Kronos)
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing Systems and Techniques
  • Aptitude for understanding Employment Law and Regulations
  • High proficiency in leading production teams in a high-volume manufacturing setting
  • Technically sound (can quickly comprehend the inner workings of products and processes)

Expected Travel

  • <10% of domestic travel is expected for this position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $98,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
