The Production Supervisor will oversee the day to day leadership and operations of a manufacturing area in alignment with the business strategy to support Customer Requirements.

What you’ll do as a Production Supervisor:

  • Ensure a physically and emotionally safe workplace for all
  • In alignment to the Production plan, ensure proper staffing of both direct and indirect labor to meet production targets
  • In alignment to the Production plan, ensure all required materials are timely delivered to production areas to meet operational targets
  • Review production and operating reports to measure productivity, cost and quality against operational targets
  • Review production and operating reports results. Provide feedback to management on corrective action plans, contingencies, and countermeasures to optimize department performance, meet KPI’s and financial targets
  • Ensure sustainability standards and regulatory requirements are met daily
  • Oversee the performance of direct and indirect reports and special project teams in accordance with job expectations, standards specifications and overall operational targets
  • Timely review team performance on an individual basis with regularly scheduled meetings
  • Provide timely constructive feedback to direct reports and project teams to ensure output is in accordance with expectations
  • Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with direct reports and project teams to promote a high level of commitment and engagement
  • Supervise the development of talent of direct reports to ensure proper pipeline of skilled talent for relevant current and future needs
  • Support the alignment of jobs, activities, tasks, and objectives with broader organizational mission, vision, values and goals of the department
  • Encourage and provide an upward path to management team innovative ideas and support projects that drive operational excellence
  • Remain current in manufacturing technologies that support sustainability and a competitive edge for overall organizational health and growth
  • Ensure line quality metrics are met
  • Lead by example, displaying day to day leadership behavior that builds a collaborative, positive culture in support of organizational health and growth
  • Develop and maintain effective functional and cross-functional relationships with internal and external customers and business partners to ensure delivery of key operating indicators
  • Foster commitment through effective communication, continuously building collaborative relationships that promotes engagement throughout the organization

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Management or Associate Degree/Technical Training Certification and 5+ Years of progressive manufacturing supervision/leadership in an similar facility may be considered as a substitute for a 4 year degree
  • Five (5) years in a direct supervisory role, overseeing individual contributors and lead production staff in a high-volume manufacturing or printing environment
  • Direct oversight of hourly teams, including performance management
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain cross functional, collaborative teams
  • In depth knowledge and application of Lean manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of problem-solving techniques/strategies
  • Successful Project Management in both short- and long-term initiatives
  • Production Reporting at the Operational level
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Conflict Resolution Skills
  • Competent Computer Skills: MS Office, MRP/ERP
  • Six Sigma a plus

Traveling Requirements:

Up to 5% domestically. May travel internationally on a project team.

Physical requirements/working conditions:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
  • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
  • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
  • This position is located on-site in our Dallas facility
