Job purpose
The Production Supervisor will manage and supervise all production operations on the shop floor, under the direction of the Plant Manager, and follow established procedures and approved processes.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervise the production team, working daily with production leads.
- Ensure the safety of all team members through proper training and reinforcement in all plant positions.
- Understands and has a working knowledge of all job-related quality objectives, quality system policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Communicate daily goals to team members as dictated by the production schedule.
- Support plant layout changes and direct efficient flow in all departments through standard work for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with maintenance and monitor equipment reliability.
- Manage daily/weekly production requirements.
- Manage safety and continuous improvement teams events.
- Manage and drive improvements in scrap, labor, and other manufacturing costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising a production/manufacturing team.
- Will have a thorough knowledge of typical manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment, and cabinetry/furniture industry experience is a plus.
- Must have strong leadership skills, servant leadership coaching style, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and have the ability to work independently.
- Have experience in lean manufacturing, knowledge of the Toyota Production System a plus.
- Must have proficient computer skills including applications such as the MS Office Suite and typical manufacturing databases.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Should have basic knowledge of production scheduling, suppliers, and customer interfaces and interactions.
- The ability to interpret drawings and specifications is a plus.
- Fluency in a second language is a plus.
Working conditions
- Work is performed in both an office and a manufacturing environment.

- Ability to constantly stand and sit.
