2ND SHIFT *** MONDAY - FRIDAY *** 3:00PM-11:30PM
- POSITION DESCRIPTION
Provides employee relations, and that safety and quality programs and processes are understood and followed. Ensures production schedule is followed to meet customer demand.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the timely and accurate flow of time off for employees, payroll and attendance transactions
- Conducts daily audit with oncoming and off going supervisor to ensure quality standards are met, safety hazards are identified, and 6S is maintained
- Tracks labor efficiencies daily by technology to help ensure production goals are met
- Develops, trains, and evaluates employees ensuring full understanding of job duties and continued succession planning occurs
- Provides coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed following company guidelines
- Identifies, assists, manages, and reports visual performance measures on continuous process improvements
- Manages and reports performance measures, including visual controls, to leaders and designated parties
- Ensures that OEE date is collected and reported daily
- Helps directs staff/team based on priorities
- Conducts near miss and assists in harassment incident investigations
- Ensures NCR/CAR/PAR are filled out following the process
- Administers policies in a fair and consistent manner
- Actively participates in Hopkins Safety Programs, such as Safety and PIE Help Desks, Behavior Based Safety Audits, Safe Work Cards, and reports all near miss and first aid events
- Promotes and maintains 6S principles throughout the facility
- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree, or five to seven years’ experience in manufacturing and/or management experience, or an equivalent combination required
- Education/Experience with Lean concepts, principles, and other analytical tools required
- COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Understanding of safety, OSHA and environmental regulations preferred
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills required
- Strong analytical and Excel skills preferred
- Must be able to transfer knowledge of policies and procedures
- Computer literacy, Microsoft Office products required
- Lock Out/Tag Out and forklift certification from company required

Work Environment: Work conditions are consistent with a general office environment. Sitting for long periods of time will require that the employee understand and be able to apply good office ergonomics. Periodic exposure to the manufacturing environment will require the understanding and use of PPE requirements applicable to that environment. The ability to tolerate extreme temperatures while providing production support is a requirement. Employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
