What they are looking for in a candidate:
1. Candidates that are seeking a Supervisory Job in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

2. The candidates, depending on their previous experience, will receive 3 to 4 months of intense on the floor training learning machine operations, maintenance, machine cleaning, process flow, QC and then shadow a Supervisor. They will receive a set of Textile Technology Textbooks and will be expected to study these and be prepared for weekly reviews with a panel, testing their progress and knowledge.

3. Once training is complete, the manager will then be expected to assume responsibility for a 12 hour Shift in a Department consisting of 25 - 35 employee's.

4. The shifts that we are hiring for are night shifts only. This responsibility is an "On the Floor" job with responsibility of managing approximately 1/3 of a One Million Square foot facility for their assigned shift. There is little office time.

5. The Supervisor usually arrives a minimum of 1 hour prior and departs 30 minutes after their 12 hour shift.
**Note: The candidate must live or desire to move immediately to the Mountain City, Elizabethton, TN , Boone N.C. or Damascus Va. areas to be within a reliable commute distance.

Some of what the Supervisors are responsible for:
1. Effectively managing and leading 25-35 production employees coaching them to meet daily production, quality and safety goals. Maintaining conformance to policy, rules and procedures on the shift and administering counseling and corrective action as required. Administration of attendance, job coverage, PTO coverage and ADP- payroll. Auditing performance, quality, machine cleaning and identifying training needs with continual on the floor follow up for a 12 hour shift.
2. Responsible for ensuring the equipment and related systems in the manufacturing process are operating at expected productivity rates and assuring the equipment is functioning to specifications.
3. Effectively communicating with the employees on their team, assuring the process flow is meeting goals. Recognizing the need and utilizing Technical resources in resolving issues as they arise. Or if all equipment is functioning properly, utilizing coaching skills and knowledge of the process to motivate and guide the team to meet or exceed performance expectations.
4. Responsible for "covering" all open (PTO or Open) Jobs each and every shift by utilizing overtime employees from other shifts/teams.
5. Responsible for ensuring quality is within Tolerances and utilizing Technical resources in resolving issues as they arise. If all equipment is within tolerance, coach the team to perform their task within tolerances.
6. Managing leading and coaching 6S/Housekeeping (Note: 6S is the customary 5S from TPM + Safety)
7. Completing end of shift reports and attending end of shift Work Sessions with their Department Manager and Technical Manager reviewing any unresolved issues or opportunities for improvement.
8. Daily completing payroll and managing hours worked reducing OT.
9. Identifying employees that are not going to succeed and working with the Department Manager to assure we are hiring and training a replacement.
