Job Title: PROFEESIONAL GUEST LECTURER

Job Summary:
Sanford Federal, Inc. is currently seeking a Professional Guest Lecturerto work in GLYNCO, GA, and perform his duties in such an effective manner.
Duties:
a- Attend and contribute to relevant meetings.
b- Collaborate with academic colleagues on program development and curriculum changes.
c- Attend and contribute to subject group meetings. Collaborate with colleagues to identify and respond to students' needs.
d- Engage in professional development in relation to teaching, learning and assessment, including the use of an evidence-informed approach, which utilises the outcomes of research and scholarship to enhance practice.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Be a licensed, active member in good standing of the bar of a state and admitted to practice before the highest court of the state of licensure.
- Must be currently admitted to practice before a United States District Court and a Federal appellate court.
Experience:
- Experience in representing federal managers, federal employees, and law enforcement officers before agencies, in criminal and administrative investigations, in hearings/trials before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and in U.S. District Court, and in assisting clients in defending security clearance revocation and adverse suitability determinations (The Defense Perspective).
- At least 10 years active hands-on experience and expertise in defending federal managers, federal employees, and law enforcement officers from a wide array of federal agencies, in criminal, civil, and administrative investigations:
- Must include serving as primary counsel on work involving client consultations; representation during investigative interviews;
- review and analysis of administrative and criminal charging documentation;
- Formal and informal negotiations with agency counsel and federal prosecutors;
- case investigation and preparation; motion practice;
- defense of law enforcement officers in Bivens/§1983 actions;
- interaction with professional liability insurers;
- assisting clients in defending security clearance revocation and adverse suitability determinations;
- and litigation in hearings before the MSPB, the EEOC; trials in U.S. District Court; and the briefing and argument of appeals.
- At least 10 years’ experience in developing and delivering instructional presentations on internal affairs investigations from the “defense perspective” to federal law enforcement internal affairs investigators in an understandable form, which is directly related to the conduct of those investigations.
- The presentations must relate to and reinforce the teaching points of various other courses within the IAITP curriculum, to include: due process in administrative investigations, investigator integrity and objectivity, disclosure of investigative reports and findings, and implications of the 4 th and 5th Amendments to internal affairs investigations.
- Use specific cases and examples which illustrate those teaching points and focus upon the rules and best practices governing employee conduct/internal affairs investigations, the burden of proof and elements of administrative offenses, the role of agency officials and the MSPB in evaluating investigations, common mistakes made in investigations, and the impact of investigative errors on case outcomes and investigator personal liability.
