I. JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description Summary:

GW’s School of Nursing (GWSON) drives innovation and improvements in health care worldwide through the education of compassionate nurses, esteemed educators and researchers, entrepreneurial leaders, and influential policy experts. The School of Nursing is looking for a Program Associate to support their Clinical Placements Team and Finance Director.

Job duties include:
  • Assists with the management of School of Nursing clinical and non-clinical contracts and agreements made with customers, vendors, partners or employees with the goal of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk.
  • Data management of clinical contracts, clinical placement requests, clinical site requirements, and pre-clinical requirements.
  • List maintenance of all clinical sites across the country with active contracts
  • Enter and track clinical placement data in relevant tracking systems and spreadsheets.
  • Act as liaison with faculty, staff, and students providing information for particular areas of responsibility, as needed.
  • Work with students to ensure all clinical placement requests are complete.
  • Ensure student records in Castle Branch or other pre-clinical tracking system are complete and kept up-to-date. Format, prepare, edit and proofread a variety of materials. Assemble documents and review outgoing material for completeness. May design and set up spreadsheets.
  • Communicate with students about missing requirements.
  • Assist Clinical Placement Team as needed with special projects and assignments.
  • Prepare and produce reports.

  • Provide wide range of clerical support including: composing and editing business correspondence, memoranda, and reports.
  • Answer and route phone calls, mail and e-mail messages; may handle wide-range information dissemination.
  • Work directly with the School Financial Director; intakes, facilitates, and routs financial and non-clinical agreements in partnership with internal stakeholders at SON and across collateral review stakeholders at GW.
  • Track and monitor status of agreement review process across SON business owners and GW collateral reviewers.
  • Identify and make proposed changes to routine business and legal terms as well as statements of work.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.


Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Proficiency in technical applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software, along with Internet searches, database management, electronic calendar, and email.
  • Experience in higher education, healthcare, or corporate setting.
  • Detail oriented
  • Organized, project management approach to facilitating work
  • Customer service oriented and proactive approach to working with stakeholders
  • Excellent computer based organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite & G Suite.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a high volume office setting.


Typical Hiring Range
$50,005.36 - $68,716.00
