Job description
  • Manages training for institutional and Central Classification Office.
  • Develop curriculum and conduct specialized Classification training for staff.
  • Attends meetings and serves in the absence of the Assistant Division Director of Classification.
  • Conduct interviews and NEO screening of Central Classification staff.
  • Perform duties and serves as needed in the absence of Central Classification program coordinators.
  • Review and make recommendation of Classification policies and procedures.
  • Chairs Classification boards in the absence of the Division Director or Assistant Division Director.
  • Coordinate special projects.
  • Serves as contract monitor.
  • Manage the Central Classification office in the absence of the Assistant Division Director.
  • Conduct statewide institutional trainings.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.

SCDC Minimum Requirements
: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

  • A bachelor's degree and two (2) years of classification and/or inmate records experience;
OR
  • An associate degree and four (4) years of classification and/or inmate records experience;
OR
  • A high school diploma and six (6) years of classification and/or inmate records experience.

Must have experience in the use of CRT and PC.
