This supervisor position entails directing a staff of dedicated individuals to provide care for youth ages 5-21 with special developmental or behavioral needs.
SERVICE: Childcare & Education Services, Here4Youth
HOURS: Full-time; Monday through Friday
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leadership and support for LSS Childcare & Education Services at Here4Youth. The Here4Youth Program provides childcare after school and during the summer to children and youth ages 5 to 21 with special needs.
Hire, train, and supervise direct care staff. Develop enriching activities and field trips with attention to the needs of children in the program. Respond to parent requests and concerns. Ensure compliance with accreditation and licensing standards. Facilitate strong partnerships with community partners. Purchase supplies for classrooms and ensure efficiency in use of materials.
Here4Youth is located in the LSS Fishback Center for Opportunity. A fully equipped, recently constructed facility that meets the needs of the children who attend. All LSS employees are supported with training opportunities and a strong team of supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, or related field or CDA and four years of experience required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Experience in an after-school, childcare, or education setting preferred. Experience working with children and youth with special medical and behavioral needs preferred. Supervision experience preferred. Must successfully complete all agency background checks. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications
