POSITION SUMMARY: Trainer for effective workforce and career services to youth and adult customers including the usage of the data tracking software required to manage caseloads and report outcomes. The role will work in collaboration with Program Directors to design, develop and conduct learning activities and maintain reference manuals to improve individual and organizational performance. Engage the learner to produce defined outcomes through instructor-led and virtual-led trainings. Analyze training needs, ensure learning solutions are aligned with business goals and evaluated for effectiveness. Create a positive learning environment that ensures skills acquisition in which learners feel safe to try new skills and where individual differences are respected.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work with Program Managers and Deputy Directors to train team members in cohorts utilizing quality onboarding systems for all Workforce and Career Services team members based on individual roles.
2. Develop a training plan or schedule in collaboration with program staff to proactively assist new team members to be successful in their role.
3. Tracks, evaluates, and creates reports regarding progressive training and Workforce Development apprenticeship completion and other professional and leadership development activities to support succession planning.
4. Facilitate Microsoft Office Suite pre-apprenticeship program.
5. Use training evaluation methods, feedback, and insights from internal business partners to measure effectiveness of training sessions and identify areas for improvement in programs and processes. Proactively monitor and report on the effectiveness of training efforts to increase internal retention rates, reduce turnover rates, and meet contractual performance rates.
6. Maintain accurate measurement and tracking process to monitor the progress of trainees. Provide reports to management team to identify strengths and weaknesses of trainee.
7. Interact with leadership, relevant stakeholders, and team members to ensure successful training outcomes. Work with subject matter experts to develop training content that satisfies operational and compliance requirements.
8. Develop training content that utilizes adult and youth learning principles and meets training outcomes, managing content updates to materials as needed. Provides training for multiple workforce programs within region.
9. Utilize current technology tools, products and resources to develop and facilitate, engaging learning and meeting experiences.
10. Support team members during onboarding process.
11. Attend trainings and conferences and conduct research to stay current in best practices for delivery of workforce services.
12. Perform all other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct supervisory duties but is expected to train or explain work procedures to others.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in education, training, e-learning, training, or learning technology or related degree fields. Master's Degree preferred. Bilingual ability preferred (English/Spanish).
  • Minimum of five years of related work experience developing and presenting training content for adult learners in traditional and virtual environments.
  • Experience in non-profit and case management approaches to social services delivery.

Backgrounds Checks:
  • All employees are subject to both a pre-hire and an annual background check. Specific rules by Line of Business will indicate whether a state or federal fingerprint background check (or both) is required and the frequency. A fingerprint background check may suffice for a regular background check. Additional background checks may be required such as the Child Abuse and Neglect State Registry, and the Sex Offender Registry.

  • Telamon Corporation/Transition Resources employees that are required to drive a personal vehicle for work-related duties are to meet the auto insurance liability requirement. The minimum limits required are $100,000 each person bodily injury, $300,000 each accident bodily injury and $50,000 property damage. The insurance liability requirement covers use of an employee's personal vehicle.
  • Telamon Corporation/Transition Resources employees that drive a company-owned/rental vehicle must maintain a satisfactory annual motor vehicle record check.
  • Must have own transportation, a valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance.
