Job description
Responsible for the overall performance of large projects or multiple projects including responsibility for strategic oversight, planning, organizing and executing operations. Manages diverse teams to ensure successful completion of projects. Provides support, leadership and direction to assigned project managers, professional and technical staff, as applicable.
Provides leadership and vision as a facilitator and coach to inspire and guide project managers and their teams to achieve project goals.
Ensures implementation of a Safety Culture for projects, ensuring all project personnel are accountable for and committed to a safe and accident free working environment.
Oversee and assist in implementing radwaste management program, change management, corrective action program, lessons learned, and change management, as applicable.
Manages projects within the program to achieve management strategic goals.
Recruits, manages, trains, counsels, evaluates and disciplines program/project personnel.
Utilizes the EnergySolutions ES Academy to ensure personnel obtains and maintains appropriate training, qualifications and proficiencies.
Coordinates and prepares monthly reporting for senior and executive level management.
Develops and implements new operating policies and procedures including modifying existing documents as necessary, utilizing established procedures.
Develops and monitors strategic goals and plans for success of their group and company.
Interfaces regularly with customers and stakeholders.
Performs financial analysis, estimating and scheduling.
Owns project risks and ensures active engagement with risk event owners.
Interfaces with management on budget and business plan preparation.
Engages with and delegates to direct reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Skills
· Effective interpersonal skills
· Project controls management skills, including forecasting, scheduling and real-time operations
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Leading change, results driven, and business acumen
· Building coalitions by partnering with subcontractorts, navegating organizations, and negotiating
· Experience with use of various software: At Risk, P6, Success Estimator, COBRA, ORACLE, EVMS, Crystal Reports
· Capable of positive representation of the company to the customer
· Basic computer skills
· Experience with large D&D projects
· Ability to travel
Education
· Bachelor's of Science required in Engineering or Business
Certifications
· Project Management Professional
Required Experience
· Minimum of 10 – 15 years in nuclear project management experience, both Commercial and Governmental markets.
Preferred Experience
· Business Development and Proposal Development experience
